IMPORTANT NOTE:
For consideration, the following materials must be received by January 1st, 2009:
- Tapes
- Completed submission forms
- Press kits with at least one still
- Submission fees
Film Requirements
- Feature films must be 50 minutes and over in length.
- Short films must not exceed 50 minutes in length.
- The Festival will accept films of all genres and formats.
- The Festival will consider all films regardless of any commercial, theatrical or television play in the U.S.
- Films that have been screened at other festivals prior to submission will be considered. However, it is preferred that films have not been previously screened. This may be one of the factors when determining a film's inclusion into the Festival.
- World and U.S. premiers are not required for submission.
- All films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English for festival presentation.
- Works-in-progress will be considered.
- Upon acceptance, filmmakers must deliver a final format for festival screening.
If Your Film is Selected
The following is a list of items needed for films which will be screened at the BHFF.
- For maximum exposure of your film, the Festival will require additional press kits with photos and stills (color/black and whites), clip reels, film trailers, posters and postcards.
- Biographies and headshots of the director and writer of your film.
- Synopsis of your Film
- Final format of your film

Feature Films $75.00 (50 minutes and over)
Documentaries $75.00
Experimental $75.00
Shorts $50.00 (50 minutes and under)
Rules
- No refunds. Please do not send cash.
- Dates are subject to change without notice.
- The Festival is not responsible for the damage to tapes incurred in shipping.
Preview tapes, marketing materials, press materials, and other film submission related materials will not be returned. Absolutely no exceptions will be permitted.
Notification Process
The International Beverly Hills Film Festival submission period is open for approximately 4 months, shortly after that all applicants will receive notification about the status of their film via e-mail or regular mail.
